The City Of Refuge      "Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the slayer (murderer) may flee thither which killeth any person at unawares. And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger, that the man slayer dies not..." (Numb.35:11, 12). Here is an instruction is given by God unto Moses by which a murderer or a killer might be saved from being put to death through retaliation at the hands of an angry mob (avengers). This divine instruction given to Moses portrays the matchless consideration and love the Almighty God has for a hopeless sinner who, by His righteous judgment, is not supposed to live.
