The Conflagration Of The Universe

As defined in the Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary of Current English, the word Conflagration simply means great and destructive fire, especially one that destroys buildings or forests; while the word Universe means everything that exists everywhere. By this simple exposition, therefore, the title of the material you are reading through is self-explanatory. The day cometh, by the word of God, when every damn thing on the surface of the earth, no matter how great or beautiful it may be, shall be set ablaze for it is written: "...the heaven and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men...the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up" (2Peter 3:7,10).

      Scientific knowledge; coupled with daily experiences of changes in weather and also the testimonies we have in the scriptures all unanimously agree with this prophecy fast coming into fulfillment no matter what this last day's scoffers feel or are saying; ignorantly thinking that God is too compassionate to set the universe with all its beauty on fire. "For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished" (2Pet.3:5). This same set of people also fails to acknowledge the fact that the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah were once consumed with fire "...because their sin is very grievous" (Gen.18:20b). The scripture says "...the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstones and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground" (Gen.19:24,25).

      God has not and will never change. As He hated sins in those days so also does He still hate iniquities today. The ultimate manifestation of His wrath on this sinful and perverse world; with its abominable inhabitants is to rain fire on it at the judgment. This truth is quite unbelievable to many and, maybe, to you also. Pause and think about this. Do you know that the sun is about 865,000 miles in diameter and it is about 93 Million miles = 150 Million Kilometers from the earth? Yet the heat it emits scotches as one placed in the oven. Do you know that the central core of the earth on whose surface we dwell is made of molten crust or liquid fire? Dear reader, do you know that everything in existence: Gas, Liquid and Solid are all made of small particles called atoms which contain the fire in them? Just think about it, what does it take the Almighty God to multiply the amount of heat emanating from the sun; or to open up the earth's crust to release the liquid fire in it; or to let loose the burning power in every atom? If you really want to escape the final judgment of God coming by fire, you had better believe the gospel and then repent of your sins. "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them” (2Corinth.4:3,4).

     God so loved the first world that He raised up Noah to warn the people to repent and escape the wrath to come. They all perished in the flood except the eight people that yielded. As it was at the time of Noah so also shall it be again? "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, (the One greater than Noah), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).  However, whosoever shall ignore or reject the Son shall have his/her ultimate destination in eternal lake of fire and they "...shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night..." (Rev.14:11).

     Whatsoever may be motivating you to commit sins, thus preventing you from accepting Jesus Christ (the Author of salvation) must be put aside today. It may be money, certificate, influence, education, position, properties and so on; "Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of person ought ye to be in holy conversation and godliness Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens (sky) being on fire shall melt with fervent heat?" (2Pet.3:11,12). While the universe is on fire, God would have gathered His people (the born again Christians) from every nook and cranny of the world; and have them taken away for the Bible says "And he shall send his angel with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other (Matt.24:31). 

    Now, what is your decision? Will you be among God's people by then? Bow down your head and pray to God; confessing all the sins you have ever committed and truly repent from them. Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour. You can now pick up your Bible and join a heaven-recognized Bible-believing church where the totality of the word of God is being preached and practiced. There, God will develop and get you prepared for eternal bliss. As you do this, God bless you in Jesus' name. Amen.


Prayer of Salvation

If you want to give your heart to the LORD JESUS CHRIST, please pray this with me.

LORD JESUS, I believe you love me so much and that is the reason you went through pain, rejection, distress, and terrible suffering in the hands of the Roman soldiers.

The Bible says in Romans 10:9, 10 ESV

"9… if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."

I believe with my heart the LORD JESUS as God’s only begotten Son and confess with my mouth that God has raised Him from the dead. Thank You LORD JESUS because I am saved according to the scriptures. And I receive the power of the Holy Ghost to live for Christ for the rest of my life, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

The City Of Refuge      "Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the slayer (murderer) may flee thither which killeth any person at unawares. And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger, that the man slayer dies not..." (Numb.35:11, 12).
